Job Title: Benefits Administrator (6-Month Contract)

Location: Onsite 4x/week in Bryn Mawr, PA | 1x remote

Overview:

A mission-driven higher education institution is seeking a Benefits Administrator for a 6-month contract to support daily HR operations and benefits processing during a major system transition. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their HR career to gain valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative and tight-knit environment.

Why This Role is Open:

The organization is currently implementing Workday and needs additional bandwidth to manage daily benefits and people-related processing, including tuition benefits, during this busy transition period.

What You’ll Do:

  • Process new hire benefits paperwork and enter updates (e.g., address changes, terminations) into the HR system
  • Manage manual data entry for vision/dental plan enrollment and ongoing benefits activity
  • Handle general billing and vendor invoicing through the internal accounts payable system
  • Support with short-term disability and leave administration in partnership with other team members
  • Assist with tuition benefit processing for eligible employees
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality across all tasks

Tools You'll Use:

  • Excel (basic formulas, data audits, v-lookups)
  • PeopleSoft (current HRIS)
  • Exposure to Workday, launching in January

Qualifications:

  • Internship or 1+ year of experience in HR, data entry, billing, or benefits administration
  • Comfortable working in a more traditional, paper-based environment
  • Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, filtering, audits)

Work Environment:

  • Business casual office
  • Onsite 4 days/week, remote 1 day/week
  • Collaborative, “all hands on deck” HR team
