Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Hospitality Specialist, New York, NY for a 3+ Months Contract. Ideally looking for a Hospitality and Facilities Specialist.

Rate Range: $18.00 - $22.00 P/HR.; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Work Schedule: 8:30am-5:30pm (1-hr lunch break)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Hospitality/Facilities Support Specialist to provide support with kitchen supply management, meeting room setup, and general office cleanliness. This role plays a key part in maintaining a professional and welcoming environment for clients and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive, document, organize, and distribute client kitchen supplies per established procedures.
  • Set up meeting rooms promptly based on customer requests and company standards.
  • Respond to verbal instructions and client service requests with attention to detail.
  • Greet and assist customers in kitchen areas according to company service standards.
  • Perform floor walkthroughs to ensure all rooms are clean, well-stocked, and ready for use.
  • Carry out cleaning, dusting, and incidental facility tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain high-level customer service and communication in all client interactions.
  • Monitor client needs and assist with meeting room setup and cleanup accordingly.

Requirements:

  • Professional, articulate, and personable presentation.
  • Quick learner with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to lift/move 40 lbs. or more and push carts up to 100 lbs.
  • Physical capability to walk, bend, kneel, stand, or sit for extended periods.
  • Manual dexterity for operating office equipment (phone, copier, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and visual acuity skills.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 1 year professional level work experience.
  • Previous experience in a client service oriented field
  • Willingness and ability to learn new skills
  • Minimum 6 months customer service, hospitality, or housekeeping experience.
