Summary

In Touch Ministries is seeking a dedicated and versatile Editorial Content Producer to join our Content Department. This role will focus on creating engaging multi-platform editorial content centered on discipleship, encouragement, and support for Christians in their daily walk with God. The Editorial Content Producer will be responsible for developing compelling stories from our global community, collaborating directly with individuals to share their experiences and insights in various formats. This position will also contribute research and writing to product development (booklets, books), digital platforms (web, app), and social media, as well as provide occasional proofreading and fact-checking support. We are looking for a detail-oriented and spiritually grounded writer who can connect with our audience on a personal level, reflecting the trustworthy spirit of the In Touch brand.

Responsibilities

• Community Story Development: Proactively identify and develop compelling stories from members of our global community, working collaboratively with individuals to capture their experiences, wisdom, and lessons learned in their relationship with God.

• Multi-Platform Content Creation: Write engaging and impactful articles based on community stories for various platforms, including our website, app, and potentially print publications.
• Discipleship Material Development: Contribute research, writing, and editorial support to the development of discipleship resources such as booklets and book projects.
• Social Media Content: Develop concise and impactful written content for social media platforms that encourages, inspires, and directs users to deeper discipleship resources.
• Editorial Support: Provide occasional proofreading and fact-checking support for various content projects across the department to ensure accuracy and quality.
• Collaboration: Work closely with editors, designers, and other team members to ensure seamless content production and delivery across all platforms.
• Audience Engagement: Maintain a strong understanding of the needs and interests of our audience to create content that is relevant, relatable, and fosters spiritual growth.
• Adherence to Brand Voice: Ensure all written content consistently reflects the established brand voice of In Touch Ministries – wise, humble, and trustworthy.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Theology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of professional writing experience (mid-career preferred, or a junior writer with significant relevant experience and portfolio).
• A strong portfolio showcasing compelling storytelling and engaging writing samples, ideally focused on Christian living, discipleship, or personal testimonies.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews and collaboratively develop stories with individuals.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• A deep understanding of biblical principles and a passion for encouraging and equipping Christians in their faith.
• Experience writing for digital platforms (web, apps, social media) is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the editorial process and working within content management systems is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse individuals.
• A genuine alignment with the mission and values of In Touch Ministries.
