JOB TITLE: Business Operations Manager

SUPERVISOR: Deputy Utility Manager-Finance and Administration
Position Summary:
Under general supervision of the Deputy Utility Manager-Finance and Administration, provides direction, leadership to and oversees the Utilities business functions. Oversees the management, control, and reporting of unrestricted and/or restricted financial affairs, audit functions, and computerized accounting system for the Utilities Department. Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.
• Five years’ experience in accounting or finance.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
• Supervisory experience.
• Public sector experience.
• Utilities experience.
• Certified Public Accountant or project management professional certification.
• Valid New Mexico driver’s license.
